The Management Team
The HTC’s Core Management Team is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the HTC including running events, projects, collaborations, clinical trials etc. The team meets every month and members include the clinical, scientific and Trust directors, academic theme-leads, clinicians and an industry representative.
The Steering Committee
The Steering Committee represents the HTC’s key stakeholders and exists as a strategic decision-making and governance body that helps guide the HTC to realise it’s aims and objectives. The committee meets bi-annually to assess the HTC’s performance against metrics established by the NIHR and to ensure the strategy being taken will optimise the chances of success.
The regional theme-leads are groups of experts in the fields of engineering, nanotechnology and biosensing drawn from ‘hubs’ of expertise across the UK. The role of the “hubs” is to promote HTC activity, reaching out to individuals and institutions with similar clinical and research ambitions. The “hubs” provide the extended network for the HTC making it a national collaborative initiative.
