The HTC management team welcomed visitors from the PSG College of Technology in Coimbatore, India, to discuss details of summer internships for University of Leeds undergraduate engineering students to study at the College.
The University of Leeds has well-established links with PSG College through the undergraduate summer internship programme, led by Associate Professor Pete Culmer in the Department of Mechanical Engineering.
Leeds hosts up to six students from engineering, robotics and biomedical science and technology disciplines each year from PSG College. During their 12-week internship, the students areinvolved in research projects led by academics at Leeds.
With support from the HTC, plans are now underway for students at Leeds to study at PSG College of Technology in a reciprocal arrangement.
Mr Murali Devarajan, Associate Dean for Higher Education and Training and Dr Vijayaraksumi Damodaraw joined the HTC management team meeting where Mr Devarajan gave a presentation on the internship programme and the history of the College, which has over 8,500 students and 15 engineering and technology departments.
